Johari Rollins Discusses ‘Havana Nights’

Time to mark your calendars because on November 14, 2011, Havana Nights will be held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. Johari Rollins, Jimmy Rollins’ wife, recently stopped by Talk Philly to discuss what can be expected at the fundraising event.

“It’s going to be a fun, star-studded event. We love Cuban food so we partnered with Cuba Libre. A lot of different Cuban food stations will be there and we hired an 11 piece salsa band,” shared Johari. “There will be great live entertainment, dancing, and singing and we have a few little tricks up our sleeves for some dance numbers.”

After recently becoming spokespeople for Prevent Child Abuse Philadelphia, Jimmy and Johari wanted to help out all of the children in need. “Both Jimmy and I recognize that we are both fortunate and blessed to come from loving families,” Johari explains. “We realize that not all kids are fortunate to have loving parents and be raised in good environments. So it was kind of a no brainer to get involved with the cause. We just really wanted to support this charity.”
